DIY: Bridal Shower Gift Basket

It’s official – my best friend is getting married! I still can’t believe it. Weren’t we in fourth grade just a few years ago? With the bridal shower just around the corner, I wanted to think of a gift that was both personal and useful. So where did I go searching? Yes, Pinterest. I found an idea for a gift basket called “Perfect Pairs,” in which you fill a basket full of classic household pairs. Think oil and vinegar, salt and pepper, and the like.

I whipped up some cute tags, went wrapping-crazy at Paper Source, and picked out my perfect pairs. I started with a wooden bowl and filled it with a few  duos – oil & vinegar, salt & pepper, bowl & spatula, spoon & fork (serving utensils), candle & flame (lighter).  I also included some mint-blue Essie nail polish and hair ties, and labeled it hair & nails. And a card to represent the most perfect pair – Ali & Justin. Cheesy, I know, but adorable.

I tied each pair together with ribbon and added a mini, painted clothes pin to hold the tag. Then threw everything into the bowl and wrapped it up the best I could!
