DIY: Fire Pit

Warm weather is creeping in, which means it’s time to start thinking about summer nights and, of course, s’mores! What better way to welcome summer than to spend the weekend installing a fire pit in your backyard? This template from The Harpster Home is simple, customizable and pretty easy to do! Also, I just have to say, I love The Harpster Home. If you’re looking for ideas on DIY home projects, or just a little laugh, check them out!

  3. […] Our family loves to roast hot dogs and marshmallows! Having a fire pit at home makes it easier to enjoy the outdoors, without having to make a trip out of it.  Fun memories can be made right at home, right outside your door! Everyone enjoys a bon fire! This is a project that can be completed in a day and will add years of memories. pearlsandcowboy […]

Could you please post the height and length of the blocks you used from Lowes? They have a million different versions and I want to make sure I’m getting the right ones. Thanks!

I just made one of this and I hate to say this but it took me longer than a day! Don’t forget you have to buy the blocks, fire ring, glue, couple of bags of rocks for the base, dig up the grass, dirt, find a place to dump the grass & dirt, create a flat base for the pit, tap/level out the rock base, level the base, setup the perfect circle with the blocks, level out the blocks, etc…..

Don’t want to be a Debbie downer…it takes more than a day for my first time doing this. But once I was done I loved it! It just took more than a day to build this.
